Meet and Greet my new studio mates: November 2-5

Posted on: October 27th, 2017 by

Come meet my new studio mates during Art Attack, November 3-5 or on First Thursday, November 2 from 5-9pm.

Bev Zerbib-Berda...I could not find a California picture....here she is in Colorado last winter....and I love that smile!

It was so hard to say good-bye to Bev.  Bev had been my studio mate since we started clay@3 in 2013. We both shared so many artist, athletic and personal endeavors.   Bev moved to Los Gatos, California to be close to her family and especially for her two grandchildren. (Her new grandson was just born last week!)   Bev has already started to work at The Tannery Arts Center in Santa Cruz and joined the rowing club. To stay connected...here is her website:  http://bevzerbibberda.com/home.html

Bev helped me find my new studio mates:  Heather Rae Tietz and Lynnea Schwieters

Heather Rae Tietz

Heather will be both working in the studio and showing in the gallery at clay@3. Heather graduated with a B.A. in Studio Art at St. Olaf College and is a graduate of the Minnesota New Institute for Ceramic Education (MN NICE) at the Northern Clay Center (NCC). In her ceramic work, she explores conceptual forms inspired by memory, relationships, and landscapes from her childhood and places she has lived in recent years.  In the photo Heather is working on large adobe sections that will be combine for an installation as a completion of the MN NICE Certificate.  Heather will have some adobe pieces in the gallery for Art Attack, but you will have to go to her show at NCC to see this completed work.  To learn more about Heather ....here is her website....http://www.heatherraetietz.com/

Lynnea Schwieters

Lynnea has a studio close to home in Hugo, MN.  Lynnea will show her work at clay@3. You may recognize Lynnea she used to show her pottery in studio #394.  Lynnea creates wheel thrown porcelain pottery and applies surface decoration including clay slip, altering, incising, pressing and carving techniques, resist and masking application. All designs are artist inspired.  Beyond clay@3, Lynnea is busy with many shows.  Just this past fall she was in: Rustic Road 13 Pottery Event and Sale, Earth to Table at the Squire House Gardens and in the Fresh Work Show in St. Peter's for the Minnesota Women Ceramic Artist, (MNWCA).  To learn more about Lynnea ....here is her website..http://www.schwieterspottery.com/
